Day 1 Friday 7th March 2025 Fremantle Prison PNC commemorating 170 Years since its opening in 1855 and containing the 2018 $1 Convict Era coin. This is signed by Denis Bandy, a former prison officer at this iconic building. The attractive dusk arial photo appears on the cover while an internal scene on the $1.50 MyStamp cancelled with the dated show cachet in gold reflects its historical past. Price $

Day 2 Saturday 8th March 2025 Perth War Cemetery This PNC commemorates 75 years since this WWII cemetery was taken over by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission & includes the 2015 $2 War Graves Remembrance coin with the $1.50 Cemetery Memorial Cross MyStamp. Price $

Day 3 Sunday 9th March 2025 Peacekeeping. Major General Ian Campell Gordon has signed these covers. Perth born and educated, he progressed through the army leading various peacekeeping missions ultimately becoming Deputy Chief of Army. This PNC contains the 2025 ½oz Perth Mint silver commemorative coin and signed by Perth's own Brian Bush, a leading authority in the field of herpetology while the $1.50 MyStamp shows Brian in action. DAILY PNC's CELEBRATING THE 1909 AUSTRALIAN OPEN IN SOUTH PERTH – SET OF 3 Unfortunately, Australia Post will not be attending this years show. Their new management has decided that, due to overheads and staffing issues, it's no longer viable to participate. This is particularly surprising given their strong sales over the last decade. While it's disappointing, we’re doing our best to continue supporting the enthusiasm of the PNC collectors attending the event each day. To that end, we will be issuing a daily PNC limited to 120 and commemorating the fact that the "Australian Open", previously the "Australasian Championships" was held down the road at The South Perth Zoo in 1909! Each days PNC will contain a $5 Australian Open Tennis Coin including Day 3 with the ½oz silver Perth Mint coloured Grand Slam commemorative coin with a "MyStamp" and the 1992 45c New Zealand featuring Anthony Wilding, the winner that year, both tied by a pictorial dated cachet. Priced at $50 each for the first 2 days and $120 on Day 3 with the coin now retailing at more than the cost of the cover, these are sure to be popular. These will only be available to those in the queue each morning at 10.00am and NOT available by mail order. We illustrate them here for your reference and if not present at the show, maybe you know a Perth local who is willing to attend on your behalf! |

The Australian Open, originally known as the Australasian Championships, was played in South Perth in 1909 at the Zoological Gardens Courts and hosted by the LTAWA. This PNC celebrates 115 years since this event. Price $50

The event was won by Anthony Wilding. This PNC celebrates the 120th Anniversary of the first Australian Open Tennis Championship commencing in 1905 and the fact the show is held only 3km from here. Price $50

Anthony Wilding was arguably the greatest tennis player at the time and commemorated by New Zealand Post in 1992 with the actual 45c stamp appearing on this PNC. He went on to win six grand slam titles including four in a row at Wimbledon. Price $120

Day 3 Sunday 10th March 2024 May Gibbs, mother of the Gum-Nut Babies and the iconic Snugglepot and Cuddlepie lived much of her early life in South Perth hence our recognition of this as the location of our annual show.
